Why a Eurodesk national network of multipliers?

Eurodesk’s mission is to raise awareness on learning mobility opportunities and encourage young people to become active citizens.

Thus, in order to facilitate the access of young people to information on European policies, opportunities and learning mobilities, a national network of Eurodesk multipliers was set up through a project launched in 2016 by Eurodesk Romania together with the Erasmus+ National Agency.

What is the role of the multipliers?

Multipliers promote learning mobility among young people using different communication channels, including online. They ensure the transmission of the information collected on the network at European level to young people. An important role of multipliers is to create and maintain a direct connection with young people through the activities and information events they organize.

Multipliers are those who analyse the needs of young people and to whom provide information, being often in a position to offer advice on finding and choosing the best and appropriate opportunity, for example the best mobility programme. Another important task is to provide support to young people with fewer opportunities, so that they can benefit from learning mobility opportunities. Another role of multipliers is to work with relevant partners in the youth field and with media to promote mobility opportunities and Eurodesk.

Eurodesk pays particular attention to the need of development, to the skills and knowledge of the multipliers and thus they benefit from training programs at national and European level. The training program developed by Eurodesk offers to the multipliers the same level of knowledge about Eurodesk and youth information all over Europe, thus ensuring high quality standards for the services provided by them.

Who are the multipliers?

The Eurodesk Romania Multipliers Network consists of 19 local multipliers from public institutions – 6 youth workers from County Directorates for Youth and Sports and from a county library and 13 inspectors/teachers from County School Inspectorates or Training Centre for Teachers.
